Yes. It’s all so overwhelming. Which is why I feel this form of communication — these longer, commercial-free, less high-production, more personally shared content — is needed and helpful. And especially with you. We don’t usually get to hear enough of your thoughts without being cut short on corporate news shows.
These are truly unnerving times. Thanks for being with us and sharing!
You know what, Eddie Glaude (Professor, Sir, Brother Glaude)? I have loved you and what you have to say from the time you first braved Joe Scarborough & Co. to be yourself and to represent a whole lot of people on national tv. And through all this time you have never failed to leave me a little nugget to cherish throughout my day. I just listened to your weekly wrap up and now I have even more reason to hold you close to my heart. You might or might not wonder, now who is this lady holding me up. First of all, I'm a white lady, of a certain age, and descended on my father's side from folk who once enslaved thousands of African and other peoples across two states, becoming materially wealthy and spiritually impoverished--no, spiritually stunted as a result. Confederate generals whose photos are in the history books were among them. And yet, and yet, it has, via some sort of grace, always seemed to me that we are all brothers and sisters, here. Or ought to be, in simple recognition of our kinship in humanity and in the hope that one day our great experiment in democracy will bear wonderful fruit that everyone can share. I hope you keep telling it like it is and drawing deep from that spiritual well of yours that inspires me so, for a good long time. And may those of us who listen, stand up to defend the truths you tell.
Dr. Glaude, I so greatly love and appreciate the weekly “Wrap Up” and the insightful, thought-provoking, analyses of topics about the things which impact our daily lives. Thank you for taking the time to masterfully, and methodically bring these important things into focus.
Eddie, you are a national treasure. You are the nation’s conscience. You encourage me to think more deeply. Thank you.
Thank you so much for your thoughts.

You are really getting so good at this.
Yes, we have lost the thread as a society. What is the baseline commitment we have to one another. “Where is the love?”.
Thank you for closing with the beautiful and always moving duet by Roberta and Donny.
Dr. Eddie,
So much is happening so fast that it seems as if we have lost the version of Democracy that we once knew.
Justice goes to those who can afford it, but freedom comes with a price for the poor.
Not giving up, separates the winners from the losers!
Omg being American is mortifying right now. Thank you so so much for amplifying this and calling it out. No kid gloves.
Go ahead and put your suit back on. Don't let them break you Eddie.
Thank you Dr Glaude / my heart is breaking .
Keep up the good fight🤜🏻👊🏻🤛🏻💪🏻💙🇺🇸
This meditation on our national character is so important. Thank you!!!!!
