Watch now | This week, Eddie reflects on the significance of the Selma March Jubilee, discusses the economic implications of Trump's tariffs, critiques the administration's education policies, and examines the current political climate in America. He emphasizes the need for the Democratic Party to confront its own values and respond effectively to the challenges posed by Trumpism and neoliberalism, while also calling for a renewed commitment to social justice and civil rights.
If DOGE is funded by the government we should know how many employees, the department’s budget and salary info for each employee. How much are we spending for this? How will we be able to evaluate if the investment is/was worth it?
Trump and his administration are clearly a threat to our democracy and the lives of everyday Americans. I’m afraid that not enough of those that we view as leaders feel the urgency of this moment. No one would say today that decorum was more important than a voices loudly shouting opposition to Hitler or the like. I live in WA and I am absolutely embarrassed for Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp-Perez’s vote to censure Rep. Al Green. Is right to repair the only issue that ties Rep. Gluesenkamp-Perez to the Democratic Party?
Yes to all this. He is an existential threat and "I am of the mind that you don't only bring civility and rational argument to a fist fight" really speaks to me. I too am fundamentally critical of neo-liberalism and having you articulate this so well.
Thank you Dr. Glaude, for reminding us of Selma, and that ordinary people can achieve great things. I was in a state of dread this evening and you gave me some hope.
I agree, some great words here....but when of the democrat number stands up to protect poor people and working people that need medicare, and then are stabbed in the back, what does ti say for their values? how are democrats that seem estranged from the poor and working class, get them back onside when they see ten democrats vote against one of their own that bravely stands up[against decorum] to defend their own? What values are they standing for? the house? the party? as opposed to the people they are supposedly standing for? many people say the democrats are just standing for themselfs as are the republicans..and these ten today will tar the entire party with their lack of values.....to be honest, if i was party leader i would threaten primaries for its clear they are not on side to protect the people they are supposed to be representing...and kudos to Al Green for showing he wants to fight for his voters....i wish the rest of the party would show a quarter as much fight and resistance as this old man :(
Dont worry about running your mouth to long, as long as there is something you have to say ,im here to hear it.... but to retirate what you say the democrat party needs to be clear in its values and what it stands for..if it just stands for a centralist right wing alternative to donald trump , a republican light,[to keep that precious donor money]then its lost, and dont expect resistance enough to make a difference, because as we have seen, present the country with a choice of donald trump or donald trump light...they always will choose the original :(

You did not keep us too long last week.
Safe trip.

I HOPE the Democrats start listening to your wise words, Professor!!!
Thank you, again.

Stay safe going to Selma. Thank you!
Thank you for all you do - you are an inspiration to so many. More than you know.
Good afternoon Dr. Eddie,
My family and I are sending traveling graces to you for a safe trip.
Remember what Jesus told his disciples in the garden of Gethsemane “Keep Watch!” Continue to shine your light for others to see.
Thank you again sir. I so appreciate your weekly care for us. 🙏🏽
