Good afternoon Dr. Glaude,

I just finished listening to your inspiring weekly wrap up. My senior friends and I are participating in a Souls to the Polls party at church. We’re getting ready to bring this election across the finish line. We are providing food, talent and safe rides to the polls thru Tuesday. It’s not over until it’s over!

Remember, “All angels don’t have wings and you are one of them!”

I voted three weeks ago for Harris. I knew I had to, but every day since then Harris has said or symbolized something that makes me pray that I did the right thing. Yesterday a canvasser came by our house and when she asked whether there was an issue that was important to me I virtually shouted "Gaza! Gaza! Gaza!" I leaned forward and said that if she didn't address the war crimes committed in Gaza, and make progress on getting the Palestinians out from under Israeli domination, I would never vote for her again. The canvasser could have been lying, but she told me that she heard that a lot.

Organizing. It's time to stop invoking that word as some kind of benediction and figure out how to-- as Michelle Obama put it--DO SOMETHING. The one thing I've learned over the last decade is that it IS possible to take over an American political party.

Sorry for this long-winded reaction. The blues were created for situations like this...

This white woman has her vote in for Kamala Harris and almost all of my friends do too. Several years ago now, I worked to get her elected as AG in CA . . .while she was running in a race of nine candidates and all the others were men. Kamala had the courage to state clearly that she personally opposed the death penalty and had written the book, “Smart Justice.” The race was so close we didn’t get to celebrate her win until a couple weeks later at Delancey Street in San Francisco (an organization that builds employment skills for the formerly incarcerated). Kamala is used to hard won victories. I cannot wait to call her Madam President.

Thank you for your spirit and wisdom, Doctor.

I have been on the edge since trump became the Republican nominee. A sickening anxiety paralyzed me. But I am hopeful because I think two things will happen: women and Puerto Ricans will deliver. The new Iowa poll gives me even more hope.

We have to hold Vice-President Harris accountable for fulfilling her promised policies. We need plans on how to implement the housing, education, and small business access for our families and communities. We can't tarry. We need to be at the front of the line.

We need to push participation in local and state elections.

This is a garbled mess of a comment, but I am less weary spilling my thoughts to those who will listen and hopefully move forward. No matter what, we got this, y'all. "Be strong and of good courage."
