Oh my heart breaks over and over. I am a proud, practicing liberal Jew who has rejected and protested Netanyahu and his regime for decades. It makes me sick that Trump is using “antisemitism” to promote his fascist agenda but it scares me that universities, law firms etc are caving to his whims. Why? I do not blame God; I blame the craven greedy humans who are neither good Christians nor good Jews nor living God’s word or will. You so beautifully articulate my pain so thank you for that.

Dr. Eddie,

Your thoughts today reminds me of a quote by Dr. Martin Luther L. King, Jr.

“ Use me, God. Show me how to take who I am, who I want to be, and what I can do, and use it for a purpose greater than myself.”

Remember, Faith in God changes everything!

Eddie, I am horrified that American institutions have not heeded the lessons of history. Appeasement has never worked and never will. There will be no end to the Regime’s insatiable thirst for power.

Thank you for your comments, I could not agree more! I keep hoping that we, as a nation, will wake up soon to the rampant greed and racism that seems to drive so many Americans!

I'll start with God is never gone. He is ompointent and omniscient. He is always there, residing in each and every one of us whether we realize it or not. And, God has granted us free will. The free will to use our "Godliness" in any way we choose and for Him there isn't any judgement because those thoughts / things created in the universe is a mirror reflection and an cause created by us. We have abandoned, forgotten and "kicked to the curb" our responsibilities for those things we have created. All that is happening now is a reflection of "thoughts gone wild". God is still there watching us create. There is so more i can say, but for those who know - KNOW... We are always in control of our destiny, individually and as a group. Imo, its easier to point a singular finger at soneone else than to be responsible and accountable for the four fingers pointing back at us. Apologize if I rambled, so many thoughts at once.

And the shame of all shames is that absolutely antisemitic people have been allowed to use the cudgel, projection being their preferred form of communication. Have mercy.

Eddie, glad you continue to take it easy during your recuperation. 🌺 Yes, the “monitors” established for CBS and Columbia are worrying and unethical.

The idea that the Administration’s efforts are driven by a concern for anti semitism is absurd and offensive. This from a regime who follows the dictates of a proud white supremacist and Nazi sympathizer in Miller and Christian Nationalist in OMB Director, Voight. I think they perversely embrace the absurdity and cruelty of it all. Behind closed doors, I am sure they are laughing at their “brilliance” in turning everything on its head. Shame on Columbia for taking what they probably see as the easy way out. I have written my own Alma Mater and asked them to join with other schools and stand against this intrusion.

Brother, because we have hope (faith) we remain on this fool's errand, thinking that white folk will see the errors of their ways and will change. Oh well. In the mean time we struggle for the uplift of our people.
