Professor, it was Argentina not Australia that voted with Is NOT Real and MeriKKKa to condemn the transatlantic slave trade as "the gravest crime against humanity."
Doctor Brother Eddie , your weekly updates remind me of my college years. Of my Professors who had the gift of making class interesting. I’m sure that many of us appreciate that even though you report the grim state of our country, you follow with a call to action and to hold on to Hope. 🫰🏽
Thank you for lifting up the National Medical Association’s statement on Cuba. That acknowledgment matters.
Black physicians make up just 5.7% of the workforce, and yet even that modest representation is being treated as excessive in this current nationalist moment. We are seeing this in the rollback of diversity standards through new LCME regulations, in proposed caps on graduate medical education loans, and in the dismantling of pathway programs that have long helped talented Black students navigate their way into medicine.
These intentional policy shifts signal who is valued, who is trained, and ultimately, who is allowed to care for our communities. It is surreal to watch this administration turn back the clock. Black health outcomes will worsen in a system that has never treated them as urgent.
I appreciate you continuing to name what is happening.
Thank you, thank you thank you for being one of very few voices who continue to remind us that the issue of a apartheid, and genocide and Gaza remains and unresolved and unaddressed situation. Conditions are bad. The people need help and your peace has done nothing to lie. Please don’t forget Garza.
Hi Professor, I hope all is well. I consider you one of the top voices in the USA on all things relating to race. I respect and value your opinion. I seek out your opinion on many issues because i consider you informed, intelligent and caring. I was horrified to hear that you think there is a ceasefire in place in Palestine. The Occupier has been pounding Gaza daily with air strikes and shelling them since the laughable ceasefire was announced. About 250 Gazans have been murdered since it was announced. How could you not know this? I'm disgusted. I expect more from you because you gave me more. You are above legacy media. Please do better. Thank you.

Thanks for the correction.
That new anti Palestinian law makes me ill. No more of my tax money to Israel! If they want to be monsters they can do it on their own dime.
I was watching you tonight on MS NOW. I was born in May 1968 in LA. My dad ran with my infant self in Venice to watch RFK’s motorcade.
It has always been a part of my consciousness- I was born between two significant assassinations during a tumultuous time.
I mistakenly thought it would be the most tumultuous time of my life.
When I was a teenager, I bought “A Testament of Hope.” It sits by my side even now.
I was watching you tonight

Thank you. I needed to hear that- that we are changing in front of our eyes. Cause I feel it.
And ending with Peace Peace was perfect.

Thank you. Eyes wide open. Prayers for Gaza & Cuba. Be Well.
