Watched you earlier today on MSNOW. Just watched this - probably not best before bed, but here we are... I would only reiterate a line you said, "...decent people allowed this to happen...". What breaks my heart on the regular isn't Donald Trump, Stephen Miller or even Bannon. I believe they're truly evil human beings. But what brings me to tears, are all the enablers. The "decent" people who allowed this to happen and continue to let it happen. The Republican congress for sure... but even those cowards like Paul Ryan and Mitt Romney - cowards. And Senator McConnell. Evil. Pure Evil. Blaming Trump is too easy. This was a coordinated and supported effort. We can never EVER forget that.
Maybe not now. I hear you. But whether I agreed with them or not, they were once decent people who at the bare minimum agreed to our norms and our constitution. So, yes, the enablers. That's who I blame. The people who do know better and choose to not be decent human beings anymore.
My history tells me this is who America has always been. So we will agree to disagree. How do we hold them accountable? I’m talking one on one to family, friends and neighbors working to combat ignorance and misinformation.
Well, please don't be confused with what I'm trying to say - yes, the United States has always been racist. But even in the midst of it all, there has been kernels of decency. The north won the civil war. We actually did have a Black president. We may take 3 steps forward and 2 steps back, but there is decency even among White folk. Even among Republicans. And as much as I loathe who they have become - cowards -- the fact remains, people like McCain, although not fav, was a decent man. And these people once adhered to the constitution. Now not so much. I choose to believe that people are still good and decent -- and trust me -- I'm struggling. But there are people today putting their lives on the line trying to fight back. Decent people. I don't know what the answer is, but everyone doing their part, in whatever way they can -- is what we must do. I have conversations on my shows to stop the spread of information and to try and teach what I can in the simple ways I can. Holding them accountable will take different shapes over the next days, weeks and years... right now, talking, listening, reading and sharing is right. Making sure everyone we know understands how important it is to vote. And yes, still fighting ICE. But don't, in the midst of it all, lose your joy, your humanity, your kindness and your moral core. That's what they've done. And we are better than that. We just are.

just so tired....its almost beyond comprehension....that perhaps in sixth months time, when trump jumps back to greenland, that europe and american might be at war...at that time, i will not be able to see eddies words...and for what? what is this all for?....and even more maddening is that 40% of america will change their minds and support trumps positions whatever it might be....one really depressing sight was on one young man's podcast a trump supporter, was challenging the lad, saying whats wrong with raping children?.....i mean, if you dont understand decency, then whats the point of even conversation at that point...jesus :(

You gave an admirable mention of Black History Month and an appropriate reminder of what America and the world has become in the hands of Western expansionism. The extreme arrogance and uncivil trek of the West has been and unfortunately still is an immoral display of bloodshed benefiting the few and detrimental to most. The lying, cheating, stealing and killing is apparently scheduled to continue until no one remains except the most ruthless of the narcissists.
