In this week’s Wrap Up, Eddie discusses pressing global and domestic issues, including the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza, the fallout between Donald Trump and Elon Musk’s recent spat, and the implications of recent immigration policies. As always, Eddie emphasizes the need for a reimagined America that prioritizes ethical values and the dignity of all individuals, urging listeners to engage in meaningful action to address these challenges.
You had me in tears in the last 3 minutes or so -- "Reimagining the country." It feels like so much work. And, I'm so tired. But you are not wrong. I just wish... can I say it this way... can someone give me some concrete steps to take to fix it all? The rudderless Democratic party is right! I feel like no one is giving direction, or we have no coalition. Things keep dropping daily and it's just so much! And no, no one is talking about Netanyahu. Or Gaza. Or Lebanon. You know how it goes - the sensational conversation of Donald and Elon's break-up is front and center. I want concrete steps. I want to see you on Nicole's show and explaining to her - "The Whitening of the Republic" -- why is everyone so hesitant to preach or scream it loudly? And as I say that, I remember Joy Reid. It's a lot. It's too much. And now I'm rambling. I hope you enjoy your time in France. I hope your meetings go brilliantly. And I hope, at some point, you'll consider also doing more. Your platform, your brilliance... I know it's not fair to ask, but I'm in #OperationFightBack mode and so... I'm asking everyone.
If you are able to, grab a bite at my favorite restaurant while you are there. La Coupole 102 Bd du Montparnasse, 75014 Paris, France, built in 1927 still has it's art deco decor and charm. You may need reservations for dining inside but for al fresco I don't believe so.
The United States has tried keeping it's dark secrets hidden for many years and people not knowing them longed to vist this land of supposed liberty.
Until this Nation’s leaders can say out loud to it's people, acknowledging the wrongs it has committed based on greed, racism, misogyny, bigotry, and without making excuses for it admit accountability.
One point I might wonder about. Is Musk railing about "fiscal responsibility" or is he really saying "the cuts to the Untermensch class did not go far enough"? Or he's sulking about losing his EV subsidies? Or he's having an Attention Deficit reaction and wants to be noticed? Or he's HIGH AS HELL? Maybe all of the above? But I doubt it's coming from a considered, moral place

it's a genocide, apartheid, and colonial occupation in Gaza. It's not a war.
