I took a break from watching/listening to Jesse Jackson's homegoing to listen to you today. Thank you for admitting you don't know. I wish you did know. I think I feel so helpless and powerless most days that I listen to you and others in hope that you'll give me a list of 5 things I can do to fix it all. Ha. Wouldn't that be amazing? But fixing the moral rot of our country is going to take all of us. And a lot of strength. A lot more time, I'm afraid. The country is broken. "America's mindless adolescence" Wow. So true. But the good news is, it's repairable. Of this I'm sure. It won't be easy. It won't be fast. But we can walk on through this and get to the other side.... that's what I remind myself of every day. Every. Single. Day.
another last thought is that it has been some years now during the coldwar where america broke the soviet union..it did it, because the soviet union couldnt maintain its spending on arms , weapons and new technology for better arms, it just couldnt ,it was getting to the point where its spending was effecting the life of the people in the state and driving them into the ground to give them defensive and offensive capability and under the weight of that , when gorbachev opening the door to cut back on arms spending, and opened up the economy ,the trickle became a flood and the state collapsed
But see this now, america is spending ever more than your 3 close rivals all together, and trump still wants to increase it, more money to israel , budget raises to over a $1 trillon dollars, now in a new war with supplementary spending proposed..and where is the funding to help the people?...where once america drove the soviet union into the ground until collapse, you cant see you are doing the same to yourself..at some point, it will go bang, and chaos will erupt ..but nobody see the fall before its too late :(
